Ashton Whitty and Asia Argento
Ashton Blaise Whitty is an American actress born in Berkeley on the 1st October 1996. She is an actress from America that has appeared in Choices (2010) as well as The Heart and Other Small Shapes (2004).
Asia Argento began her career as an actor at the age of nineteen in Rome. Her family also includes a number of filmmakers. As a young girl when she began her acting debut in Sergio Ciotti's film Sogni e bisogni. The year 1988 was the time she was cast in the lead role in the first feature of Cristina Comencini's film Zoo. Additionally, she was a part of Michele Soavi's acting cast for The Church. Red Wood Pigeon was the following year and Asia as Nanni's daughters. Close Friends was written by Michele Placido and was directed by her. This was when Asia's career took off as she transitioned from young girl roles to more mature and complicated roles. The film was given a warm reception during the Cannes International Film Festival. Daria Ninodi is the director's beloved actress. She was portrayed as a teenage anorexic searching for her parents killer in Trauma. Asia was a part of Dario's The Phantom of the Opera, the third film she co-directed with her dad. Two of them were Trauma as well as The Stendhal Syndrome. The role she played as Arianna in Carlo Verdone's Perdiamoci di the vista, a physically handicapped girl, was an arduous and complex role that won her the David di Donatello award as the most outstanding actor. The film also featured her in a major role as Queen Margot, directed by Patrice Cereau. In 1995 she co-starred with Michel Piccoli in Peter Del Monte's Compagna di viaggio which again earned her a David diDonatello and an award of Grolla d'oro. Asia's debut short film was an episode in the De Generazione movie. Two years following, Asia became a director and produced two films. One of them, AbelAsia a tribute for her father. Asia debuted as a director in 1999, with Scarlet Diva. The film was also the lead screenwriter and actress. In May 2000, the movie was released throughout the world. It won an award at the Williamsburg Film Festival in Brooklyn, New York.
